Compelled by Love is a testimony-driven ministry created to share the truth of who Jesus is and what He still does today through the Marketplace. It’s a space to testify to His healing, deliverance, restoration, and peace, with an invitation to "walk just as He walked" 1 John 2:6 in Isaiah 61 and prepare for His return, Mathew 24-25, Revelation 19. We invite others, no matter what their backgrounds are, or how "shameful" their past or current situation is, that they too can experience total forgiveness, redemption and salvation that is found through Jesus.
This is not a substitute for professional counselling or the church, but simply a heart and outreach for the marketplace. We long to step out of fear and reach the ones who may never walk into a church building, but are deeply known and loved by God.
Our Testimony
This ministry was not born inside a church building, but in the quiet of her room, where Mikayla, the founder of Compelled by Love, encountered Jesus (biblically) in an unexpected way.
After years spent searching for healing, identity, and purpose, the journey began with what seemed like good things: counselling, solo travel, mindfulness, yoga, crystals, Reiki, energy work, manifesting and more. But beneath it all was a deeper desire to be truly made whole, to feel safe, and to truly know why she was here.
The path was sincere, but exhausting. Despite temporary relief, nothing ever reached the inner places of rest she longed for. By the end of 2020, striving to “fix” herself had left her depleted, no longer wanting temporary solutions but peace that lasted without striving and rituals.
Then came an unexpected turning point.
She came across a woman she had admired in the personal development world, someone known for her financial success and spiritual depth, who had publicly walked away from it all, claiming that she found deep peace in a relationship with Jesus. Shocking, yet it stirred something.
That same week, curious, Mikayla said a simple prayer in the middle of the night asking God for a relationship with Him through His Son, Jesus. There were no perfect words. No formal setting. Just a tiny bit of faith and an open heart. And that is where God unexpectedly met her in the stillness of her room.
That night, similar to Acts 9, she unexpectantly encountered the presence of Jesus, real, near, and deeply personal. In a moment, years of inner striving, self-healing through Reiki and other forms, were met with the deepest level of healing that all her self-effort could never fix. Unforgiveness and buried wounds that were unknown to her were instantly met with the healing provided by Jesus, the same Jesus who did the miraculous written about in the bible. This time, she wasn’t given a method, a mindset, or a new ritual; she encountered and was transformed by Love Himself.
That was the beginning of salvation and the end of her searching.
Since then, the founder, Mikayla, has carried a passion to share her testimony, the true gospel message that brings salvation by faith and help other women experience the same healing, inner rest and peace found not in performance but in the presence of God. Compelled by Love exists to offer that invitation: to help experience deeper wholeness, walk in love, rest and be transformed back into God's image, from the inside out.
How Compelled by Love Began
Two years after that encounter, in the summer of 2022, Mikayla sensed the Lord gently prompting her to “start your prophetic ministry.” Unsure of what that fully meant, she prayed and waited.
One Sunday, while asking God for direction, she kept hearing the phrase “Compelled by Love.” That same day, the pastor unexpectedly repeated those exact words three times throughout his sermon. This was her confirmation.
As she continued to pray, God highlighted scriptures like Colossians 4:17, 2 Timothy 4:5, and Revelation 19:10: “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” This ministry is not about building a platform, but about being faithful in reaching those with the message she has been entrusted with within the marketplace. We enjoy reaching not only the spiritually seeking and believers, but the overlooked, homeless, forgotten and desire to embody the mission of Isaiah 61.
Our Invitation
Whether you are spiritually seeking, into personal development, New Age practices, or have already been walking with Jesus for a while, this is an invitational resting place. A place to hear stories of lives made whole by the One who sees, forgives, saves and restores. We desire that through these testimonies, outreach and discipleship teachings, many would be inspired to cultivate a deep relationship with God, through Jesus, and to be 'Compelled by love'.
